Port volume increase tax credit
This credit against income taxes or withholding taxes is for entities that use state port facilities and increase base port cargo volume by 5% over base-year totals.
Jobs tax credit
The tax credit supports new and expanding companies for creating jobs in SC. To qualify, companies must create and maintain a certain number of net new jobs in a taxable year.
Discretionary grants
Discretionary grant funding supports economic development projects such as road improvements, water and sewer infrastructure and other infrastructure needs related to economic development projects.
5-year property tax abatement
Redevelopment projects involving abandoned buildings may qualify for a credit against real property taxes. This credit may offset up to 75% of property taxes.
